10 ways to celebrate this thanksgiving
1) Eat a big thanksgiving meal with friends and family outside.
Several times we have gathered with friends for a Thanksgiving dinner outside. We even cooked the whole meal outside, and it was a great experience. A little cold at times, yes, but great.
2)Create a thanksgiving wall for the whole month.
Many years we have put a paper or large paper on the wall, and each night at supper, we have to write something we are thankful for. Usually, my wife and I get it going. Instead of words, you could use pictures.
3)Invite a neighbour over or host more than just your family and make it a potluck.
4)Acts of kindness
Come up with 3-4 acts of kindness you could do over the weekend
5)Fall Art – Go on a walk with the kids or yourself, and collect items, and create a door arrangement that can be hung on your door.
6)Movie marathon – Grap a trilogy and snack food and watch together. It could be a ritual that every year you watch this or that movie.
What are your suggestions for a good thanksgiving movie night?
7)A photo scavenger hunt – come up with ideas of things you have to take pictures of or places.
8)Write letters to family or friends who can’t be with you. Don’t forget to mail them.
9)Meal Conversation cards – These are cards that have suggestions for a conversation. Take time to write out ten cards. You could add to them each year. An example could be. If you had four days to travel anywhere, right now, where would you go and why?
